I was going to have this up sooner, but sort of forgot all about it.
In January, I made this birthday surprise for my brother, on his 10th birthday (since it was his "double digit", I wanted to make something nice for him). It's a fruit cake with a cream and chocolate topping, and there's a flower, and Kyoro-chan made of marzipan. The letters as well, by the way. Kyoro-chan is the main character of the anime that was my brother's favorite at the time, titled...umm, "Kyoro-chan deshu". It's a kids' cartoon, but I've always found the opening quite impressive: [link] Anyway, he's supposed to be this...bird...thing, and I guess, humorous, but he just comes off as retarded (my apologies for using this word) and a klutz, and just generally embaressing. Though his character design is about as catchy as Pikachu's. The cake was fun to make, but especially moulding the Kyoro-chan and the flower. |
