This is over one whole year old, and I wanted to give up on this, but I decided to finish it anyway - one year later. I know it's most likely not that good, I messed up quite a lot of things, but I don't care. Not like I'm aiming for anything like a DD with this anyway.
If it isn't already obvious, it's Aeris watering her flowers in her garden outside her house in Midgar: [link] I figured since she's an aquarian, and the hungarian word for Aquarius literally means 'he/she who pours water', I'd draw her watering her flowers.
That's about all there is to say. I might actually re-make this sometime in the future, but I don't really feel up to it right now, or for a long while for that matter.
I'm not exactly happy with how this came out, anyway.
This is a really fantastic picture of Aeris, it really captures her love of her flowers and her kindness, the coloring is also really good. There are only some tiny problems with the line art.
The left half of the back her head should a little more rounded, it flattens a little more than it should. Her back is also going a little unnatural, the skinniest part should be a little bit lower than it is. Right now, it’s smashing her rib cage a bit.
The lines for her collar bone should be a smidge lower, look at a picture of a real girl to see about where it should fall.
Holy crap. Hoooooh. Leeeee. Crap. D8 That's amazing. The details in the flowers are exquisite, impressive, everything. As are the details in the hair. To put it lightly, this is overall, super impressive!!
But, this isn't a critique if there's nothing to say, am I right? Well, here comes the harsh parts. The upper body seems slightly too small for the head. The bust is perhaps a bit small and compressed, whereas the curves of her body are a tad too high.
The background seems to be much more simpler than the rest of the piece—erhaps that was the goal, maybe? I'm not sure, but I'd love to see some more detail there. Overall, it's very well done, the colors are amazing, and I absolutely adore your logic with the Aquarius, "he/she who pours water", which is very very clever! Great job! 8D
Oh, wow...this is just beautiful. The colors and the drawing are so mood lifting, and the soft shading just makes it that much easier to look at as a whole. I like the touch of purple in her ribbon/bow, too. Ah...really, there's just so much to like in this drawing; I can't pick just one thing XDD
